A study analyzing 108 free menstrual tracking apps found that 95% were inaccurate, with few referencing medical literature or involving health professionals in their development. Flo, one of the most widely used period tracking apps with over 60 million active users, has been accused of selling user data, failing to follow scientific guidelines, and omitting essential features needed for comprehensive reproductive health support. Our team, a group of students from Alberta, is passionate about challenging the bias surrounding women's reproductive health and advocating for tools that are ethical, accurate, and truly supportive of users’ needs.
